Quality Poor to fair Facilities Poor to fair Service Good
This place is horrible. Please review before considering this hotel. The
rooms stinks and water takes forever to become hot. The pressure of the
shower was horrible, it was slow and takes very long for the water to become
hot, if youre lucky enough. The room was too stuffy and too much things
going on... i have so much things to say but the number one thing about this
hotel is please make sure to read reviews before booking this hotel. but
overall the staffs are friendly but the hotel it self is disgusting.

Dont go Out after dark something really bad could happen to you NO JOKE. The
Staff at the front desk was beyond horrible. There is no way even 40.00 a
night would be ok for this dump. Rooms where as big as a closet and some
rooms dont even have bathrooms you half to use public ones in the hall way.
What the hell??? If your a fool with no standards this is the place for you!

Quality Poor to fair
People do ur research this place is trash. we had to up grade just to get a
room with a bathroom in it and this room was just as trashy as the first one
.there was no AC in the room and there was a musty smell. This was a classic
case of false advisement because the pictures on the website is not what
you get!! The only thing that was accurate about this hotel was the lobby.
This is the was the worst hotel eexperience ever thanks to the airline
package. Dont do it!!

Quality Poor to fair
Dirty, dumpy, old, dirty carpets, hot water took ten minutes to arrive, next
to dangerous streets, lots of sirens, was Advised by locals not to be out
after dark, our stray further than one block in a particular direction. No
parking lots around here charge$15 a day. Workers are nice, and helpful.

it has a good lobby only. the service is really more than bad and the
receptions are bad and there is no cooperation. it like you live for free. I
thought that I didn't pay for staying here because of their behavior.

Quality Poor to fair
is a priceless experience, you will hear the police helichopter, you will
meet the drugs dealers at the corners, i spend two nights and became a
little bit more MAN jaja, please do your research before you stay at the
CECILE, tthe service is kind of good, i do not try the breakfast, best of
luck

Quality Poor to fair
It really is what people are saying here "You get for what you pay." It's
not the most luxurious place, so the rooms are pure crappy, I mean, at least
you can sleep there, if sleep is your main purpose for you stay. You can
find Internet always working in the hall and the café next to the hotel can
help you with the meals. Finally, you should not try to walk in the
downtown streets after 7pm, it's dangerous.

Quality Good
Lobby is the only nice thing about this place. Rooms smell weird.
Decorations none. Wish I would of known would of spent the extra cash.

Overall Very good
Perfectly adequate room and considering the beautiful and historic foyer I
really feel like I got the last laugh on my friends who paid 3-4x to stay at
the Standard and have a couple pieces of ikea looking furniture and a see
through bathroom. On top of that the Standard staff act like they'd rather
spit on you then treat you like a human compared to friendly security and
front desk at the Cecil. I'm not fooling myself, it is a one-star though
comparable to 2-stars i've stayed at in Paris and it's not fancy but if you'
re downtown for an event and need a place to crash look no further.

Overall Poor to fair
I got this room for 40 a night through Expedia, if you're a trooper and can
handle having dorm style hallways and only a bed in the room then by all
means go for it. Bathrooms are down the hallway and its still more of a walk
than I'd like. Personally I wish I spent the extra 15 for a bit more
security and amenities. This place will probably be closing down soon...

Adkins is wrong: The $15 per night motels in Tijuana are much better than
this one. It's one thing for a hotel to be old, and have the less-secure
physical keys instead of the key cards. It's one thing for a hotel room not
to have its own shower or toilet. It's one thing for a hotel room to be
small, feel more like a dorm room than a hotel room, and to have walls so
thin that you can hear everything up and down the hall. It's one thing for
the outer walls and windows to be so poorly insulated as to provide no
protection from either the weather or the outside noises. Believe it or not,
I can live with those things. What I CANNOT live with is a hotel room, in
the middle of winter when it's less than 40 degrees outside, not to have any
heat. That's right -- at the Cecil Hotel you are as exposed to the elements
as you would be if you pitched a tent on the sidewalk. For the price (
PERHAPS 5 dollars a night more) you can get a decent room at a roadside
motel with at least rudimentary climate control. For a lower price, you can
stay at a hostel, and probably enjoy more comfort and security than you
would here. I would not recommend staying at this hotel under any
circumstances whatsoever.

Overall Excellent
this place is actually hotel Cecil. hotel Stay is the 3rd and 4th floor.
Hotel Cecil was SUPER dirty.I hated it.. Smelled like pee. I went to Stay..
and asked if i could transfer the deposit for Cecil.. and I LOOOOVED IT..
very clean very nice.. very POSH. the only bad thing is having shared a RR..
but other than that.. Two thumbs up.. WAY up.

Overall Poor to fair
I have to write this review hoping that it will help someone else prevent
making the mistake I made. Even thou the hotel is cheap is no excuse for
such a low quality. I felt as if I had gone to a hotel in Tijuana where they
hookers and crackheads go to do their business. I had no choice but to say
one night and was afraid of catching something. No A/C only an old fan full
of dust, mattress so old that it sinks from the middle, my back was hurting
the next morning . . and I don't have back problems. The few hours I stayed
(2:30am - 7:am) I was afraid some rapist was going to try get in, the door
had 4 locks as if they expect something bad. The hotel is soooo OOOOOOOLDDD
and it smells like it. It was unbelievable that such hotel could still be in
business. You better stay at a motel 6, holiday in or any of those, don't
waste your money. Oh and when I complained to the receptionist as to why the
rooms don't look at all like the ones in the pictures she said "only a few
of them look like that" All the other ones are still old and waiting for
remodeling. This place sucks. | s*******d
