Generally, you can go to traffic school if:
You have a valid driver's license,
The offense occurred while driving a noncommercial vehicle, and
Your ticket is for an infraction that is a moving violation.
You CANNOT go to traffic school for:
Equipment offenses
Non-moving offenses (like parking offenses)
Misdemeanors
Offenses with a mandatory court appearance
Alcohol-related offenses

2. You are eligible for traffic violator school for a confidential
conviction if:
a. You are not presently assigned to or attending a traffic school program
and,
b. You have not attended any traffic school program on a citation issued
within 18 months of the issue date of this citation and,
c. You have a valid driver's license and,
d. You have a commercial driver's license and you were cited on or after
January 1, 2013, in a noncommercial vehicle. This conviction will be made
public, however no points will be assessed. |
