Former LA Times travel columnist Karin Esterhammer will discuss her recent
travel memoir, So Happiness to Meet You, about her family’s time after the
housing collapse and recession, selling almost everything they had and
moving to Vietnam. While difficult, with no jobs and a sight unseen
apartment, the move turned out to be one of the most life changing and
humorous things that could have ever happened to them. Books will be
available for sale and signing.

finds work as a maid in the London Hospital, she doesn’t realize that she
would be caring for Joseph Merrick AKA the Elephant Man. Although she is
unsure of Joseph, Evelyn learns to care for him, especially since the
spirits of Jack the Ripper’s victims come to him every night asking him to
