How I remember the Montana nights
When we would read by campfire
In the darkness out there
A river sings to the moonlight
A million stars shine aloof
A million secrets hide deep
Remembering a snowy night
When you set fire to the straying heart
A million years fly by
A million dreams yet to wake up
Remembering a last time
When you wipe my tears of white
On this long long journey through darkness
Memories fade and faith dims
But how I remember those sleepless nights
When the river sings to the rain
When the fire dances in the wind
Under the wild Montana sky
Till the edge of night

of the cello gave me goose bumps instantly, and so did the "lyrics,"
especially the third stanza. I tried to read the poem aloud with the
music playing in the background, and it all worked together marvelously.
Now that is what poetry is all about... It's not just in the words, or even
the vivid imagery. Ultimately, it's in the complexity of feelings that were
hinted at but remain unspoken. In one word, my friend: Bravo!

thrilled and at the same time truly humbled :)
I instantly fell in love with the melody and Montana is my favorite
place, so felt compelled to write something. And that sadness in the
tune is so unbearable yet so touching, which resonates strongly with my
heart :)
