了。连人事部忙前忙后筹备发火鸡的小姑娘都给雷了。

发帖数: 42 | 7 知道要来，但是来的时候还是措手不及。今天早上一个cubic的印度同事突然跟我说下
个礼拜是他的最后一个礼拜，还以为他找到了别的工作，他说是HR通知的，心里就咯噔
一下，手就有些发软。马上找比较熟的team leader一问，我们group裁了三个
contractor，我不在其中。本来应该高兴自己survive了，但除了手脚有点发软外，就
只觉得无力和无可奈何。
还听说有刚从加州搬过来，以为一直运行良好第三季度销售record high的大公司应该
safe，让老婆辞掉工作一起过来，也被裁了。中午和group另外一个幸免的中国人通话
的时候，两人都是唏嘘不已。不知道这波冲击何时是个头。 |

我一个哥们今年初去的Caterpillar,不知道现在怎么样。

不过到目前为止，我总体感觉ME确实是相对稳定的行当。
我最早在这里说最近有大波裁人这回事。
到现在，周围听说的，认识的被裁的老中全是做IT的。
没有听说一个被裁的老中ME engineer。

发帖数: 384 | 19 我在CAT也干了一阵CONTRACT. 本来要转正,又是一年的HIRING FREEZE.
等得不耐烦我自己就跳了另外一家类似的大公司. 现在看起来走得还是对的.
CONTRACTOR在经济好的时候要尽快跳到PERMANENT JOB.否则经济不好的时候,就最先受
冲击.

are relatively steady and mature. The huge downside is the job pool is
limited, especially for people without greencard or citizenship. For IT
people, they might be able to find another job in a month if they get lay-
off, but it is too damn diffucult or nealy impossible for ME to do the same
thing.
ME is not so vulnerable as Financiancing or IT since those ME companies dont
extreme their financil arms anymore after the
