I am EE, not have too much experience on the motor control, however needs to
redesign a motor contol board to protect the motor in the rotor lock state.
The motor is too old to have built-in thermal protection.
It is DC Brushless Motor, max load current rated at 0.77A, there is no other
valuable parameter I can find for the motor. Even the vendor does not know.
I searched on the internet, some one listed parameter like
IA/IN
MA/MN
MK/MN
someone claims to use 225% rule (start/load) and 0.2 to 2 seconds of start
time.
Is it true that the start current magnitude is only determined by the motor'
s physical (mechanical design parameter). Neither load torque, electronic
control nor system inertia influencs it.
Which reference/experiment I can check to get an approximate estimate of the
requirement of start current.
