Job Description
In this role you will participate as a reliability engineering core team
member for supporting new product introductions from feasibility to HVM
phases of the product life cycle. You will be expected to perform hands-on
reliability testing, failure analysis, and statistical analysis of testing
results to feedback reliability findings into product feasibility, process
development and high volume product life cycle phases. You will also develop
advanced reliability testing, product reliability improvement, and product
qualification plans through collaborating with respective engineering teams.
Responsibilities also include maintaining and improving test and
characterization equipment, and test procedure ownership in a laboratory
environment.
• Lead reliability projects with different functional groups
• Develop new testing methodologies to improve product reliability
• Design and execute pre-product reliability tests, accelerated
life tests, and ongoing reliability monitoring tests
• Perform and coordinate failure analysis and functional
performance investigations
• Perform FMEA and lead cross functional teams on FMEA execution
Skill Requirements
Education Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability
Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Physics
• BS: Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience
• MS: Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
• PhD: Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience
• New graduates with relevant experience will be considered for
this position.
The preferred candidate will have the following skills and expertise (2+
years)
• Mechanical engineering/mechanics
• Reliability engineering
• Electronic packaging engineering and technology
• Materials science and engineering
• Quality control
Candidates must have knowledge and competences in the following areas (2+
years):
• Experience in two of following fields: mechanical testing,
reliability testing, semi-conductor processing and packaging
• General technical knowledge of mechanics of materials
• Hands on mechanical testing and high tech equipment maintenance
• Root cause analysis and structured problem solving
