Job Title:
Scope of Position:
Support and guide the movement of various molding equipment to internal
locations or external suppliers. Position will require knowledge of
engineering thermoplastics and process flow for injection molding equipment
and tooling.
Responsibilities:
• Understanding of injection molding Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain and follow project budget
• Assessment of existing equipment, molds and processes
• Support with disassembly and install of various molding equipment
• Interact with project team and production engineers to relocate
equipment
• Communicate findings through e-mail, reports, and formal / informal
meetings
• Responsible for follow-up and verification of project time line
metrics
• Evaluate manufacturing data and prepare the documentation for the
move
• Preparation of the receiver side
• Analyzes data on a problem-to-solution level
• Identify opportunities to dispose of equipment to maintain budget
requirements
Required Skills:
• Experience operating and managing injection molding machines and
plastics processes
• Ability to manage simultaneous complex project assignment priorities
• Ability to clearly communicate ideas and needed changes to adhere to
project metrics
• Must have excellent verbal, written, computer, time management, and
project management skills
• Work well independently or in team environment
• Knowledge of business economics
• Ability to provide detailed documentation of work performed in a
timely manner
• Strong planning, coordination and project execution skills
• Strong adherence to OSHA safety practices and standards
Desired Education and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Plastics preferred) or Bachelor
of Science in Mechanical Engineering (with injection molding experience) and
higher
• 5 years plus of experience in manufacturing involving injection
molding of engineering thermoplastics and implementing mechanical systems
and improvements
