ruined my life due to my bad decision/bad personality. I have never made
myself clear what I am good at and what I should do, but just chasing at the
other people’s back and now all my decision have proved to be terrible and
they perfectly ruined my life.
I sincerely want to collect some advice for my next step.

BTW, I don't think manufacturing job market is that bad. Don't make any
decision before you really trid. Log into Monster.com and do some research.
Since you are close to your Ph.D degree, you are already entitled to work
right now.
