Existing three-dimensional printers, which build up objects from layers of
melted metal powder, melted plastic powder or quick-drying ink-jet ink, print
relatively slowly because it takes time for each layer to dry. And like that
of their two-dimensional counterparts, the print resolution, or feature size,

please check out that picture, I did not make myself clear in that post.
We have many collaborators in industrial, academical and govermental
circles. Many of them sent this message to us and I have recieved at least
three versions of that news. Actually my advisor is this technique's original
inventor and he know exactly what happened there. Their work has a deadly
drawback and they will not tell you.

Frankly speaking, your advisor's claim is bluffing. Cause he just simply lose
funding if he dares to praise those illionis' work.
I just simply believe in 1) top journals 2) first hand materials.
What you saying is 1) your boss comment (second hand materials) 2) unpopular
journals (your tech never appeared on Nature).
one more comment: this illionis group will get more fundings than your boss
because of this nature paper.

the propability of put two ends of a polymer at two different positions,
because the core part is excluded volume.
The latter problem definitely has some applications.
Either is an interesting theoretical problem.
