extremely expensive and it smells. If you don't have enough fundings, stay

nanocrystals, and since the ions part may have some special interaction with
specific crystal plane, it may be useful for controlling the shape of crystal.
Moreover, since it has high boiling point, it may render the nanocrystals good
crystalinity.
this is one idea which comes to my mind first. I think it may have many
applications...
I do not know how expensive it is, hehe

polymer itself may be much cheaper than ionic liquid.
