I have some nano wires in Chloroform, and now I am trying to add this nano
material into nematic liquid crystals. I first let the vial of (chloroform +
nano material) open, so that chloroform can evaperate. When the chloroform
almost completely gone, but still left enough so that the nano materials still
can move around, I added the liquid crystal in and stir the mixture
"violently". After making some samples out of this mixture, I found that after
adding the chlorof | w********h 发帖数: 12367 | 2 no surprise, even a little bit solvent may change solid (melt) properties of
polymers strongly.

that all the chloroform will evaporate and leave the LC molecules unaffacted?

different evaporation process or even different solvent may affect
crystalliene structure.
unaffacted?
