assume it is a junk mail or virus contained. 2nd, you are not asking (begging)
YYY for help but you want to join his group to help him. That is the right
attitude. Forget about the finacial story, you are also somehow responsible
for your boss's failure. If you were super good, you might have helped your
boss with good ideas and experimental data. The only reason for you to
transfer should be that you are not interested
