My group has a Senior Research Chemist opening. The person will be
conducting hands-on daily synthesis work as well as supervising a lab
technician for another small project in an industry environment. Below is a
brief summary of the qualifications. Pls. contact me for more details.
Basic:
- PhD/MS in Polymer Science/Organic Synthesis Chemistry
- 2+ (for PhD) or 5+ years (for MS) of work experience in polymer/small
molecule synthesis
- Hands-on experience in instrumental characterizations of synthesis
products including NMR, IR, Raman, GPC, GC-MS, HPLC, MALDI-TOF etc.
- At least 1 year hands on experience in coating/adhesive/ink formulation
and characterizations
- Team work spirit, at least 1 year lab personnel supervisory experience
Preferred:
- 1+ year in contract research project experience including proposal
preparation, reporting and budget management
Compensation is $70-90K/yr. It is a one year contract position with high
chance of renewal. Opportunity to turn into a permanent position after 2
