Can any daxia do me a favor to tell me the state-of-the-art of a G/G/1 queue?
In particular, is there a way (other than discrete event simulation) to
calculate the steady-state queue length distribution (and perhaps other
equally important distributions)?
It seems to me that, in most entry-level queueing book (Kleinrock etc),
results are limited to certain upper/lower bounds, and heavy-traffic limit
approximation. From Feller's book I learned Wiener-Hopf integral equation,
but it does not seem e
