1935年夏，weil以Bourbaki的名义把一篇文章寄给comptes
Rendus des Seances Hebdomadaires de l'Acadeemie
des sciences的主编 Elie Cartan要求发表，由于这个杂志
规定作者必须提交一份个人简历，weil随这篇文章寄去一封信
“亲爱的先生：
随信寄去Bourbaki先生的一篇文章，正如你所知，他原来是
Poldavia的Besse皇家大学的讲师，几年前我在Clichy的咖啡
馆里碰见过他,他整日整夜的呆在那里，由于Poldavia这个国家
被驱逐出欧洲版图，他不但失去了工作，而且几乎身无分文，他
现在靠着在咖啡馆里教belote(一种棋牌游戏，他在这方面是个
专家）度日，虽然他说已经不想再做数学，但是他还是乐意与我
讨论少许重要数学问题，甚至给我看了他的几篇论文，我已经说
服他愿意发表随信寄去的一篇文章，里面有一个现代积分理论的
有用的结果”
注：
Poldavia是1929年Alain Mellet在他写的小说L'action Francaise
里虚构的一个国家，Besse源于1935年夏Bourb
