实在有困难，我听说过有人实在没有办法豁免，后来办成O-1签证的。从O-1到H1应该不
受限制了，不过从O-1到绿卡也相对容易很多了。总之早行动就有办法。 | f***y

我现在NIH,老板不给H1.我听说办J1豁免需要提供H1的雇主出示证明,所以我想能否直接
申请到医院提供的H1,用来办理豁免.否则我需要先换一个提供H1的实验室,把我的J1豁
免掉.才能申请resident,就要等太长的时间了.不知道从这个实验室直接match到医院是
否可行,要是不可行,我就不要急着考board了.还是先换个实验室,把J1弄掉才是关键
不知道哪位有这方面的经验. | m****8

totally wrong, j1 waiver is totally by yourself, has nothing to do with h1 supporter. after waiver you can apply green card even without h1b.i think doing your best to get the green card is most important

When you apply for J-1 waiver, you do need your employer to provide you with
a supporting letter saying that he is going to support you after your J-1
expires. Not necessary to say that he will sponsor for your H-1 visa though,
it could say that he will sponsor your visa transfer when it is necessary.

Honestly, to get a J-1 waiver itself needs about 4-9 months. After getting
the approval notice from USCIS, you can apply for J1 t | m****8
