I am just starting application (yes I am late). My big concern, just like
any other old CMGs, is the graduation year cut-off. I called lot's of
programs in FM regarding this issue last two days, vast majority of the
programs (based on the answers from coordinators) have 2-5 years graduation
year cut-off. Since the conversation couldn't last long and got into much
details, therefore i have such a question: Is these cut-off strict, and my

Second，when you call the PC, ask them the most concerned questions first,
like graduation year and ask them whether it is very strict. If the answer
is strict, then it is strict.

发帖数: 148 | 3 you can ask them if their creteria are set in stone or the whole application
package will be considered. It is what I did on Sep. Since the PC will scre
en a lot of applicants out based on the program's policy, If it is set in st
one, there is no way and you can save money, unless contact PD directly; if
it is whole package, go for it and take a shot.

Yes I will try to do that, one phone call may save me 25 bucks. But I am a
little worried some rigid critea may even give better chance, just like what
I saw in usmleforum, required hands-on externship scared and kept away lot'
s of people, but acturally the person got iv didn't have the experience at
all!

blity would be 1) the criteria is not strict 2) CONNECTION.
if the program matches your reserach background very well and you like it ve
ry much, I think you can try no matter the limitation, since it might be pos
sibel to pursuade the PD to offer you IV.
