发帖数: 5422 | 1 今天去洗牙，牙医说我有牙周炎，periodontitis。说这个阶段每次都要做deep
cleaning, 而且要三个月做一次。我的保险一年就包两次，所以这样下来我光洗牙一年就要200多，还不包括其他补洞什么的。
想问问这里的专业人士是不是真需要这样。以前看过别的牙医，他们都没说需要这样。我自己没有任何的疼痛问题，刷牙也不出血，不知道为啥牙医就看出这么大的问题了。倒不是因为心疼钱，而是因为牙医做deep cleaning的时候把牙龈弄的挺痛的，我怕我本来没啥问题结果让他们给我弄坏了。我的牙龈本来长的好好的，很密的在牙齿中间，但是看过牙医后他们的钩子什么的就把牙龈给弄短了一大截，要一段时间才能长好。
哦，对了，医生在诊断的时候说什么213，112之类的，我有几颗牙有到4，多数是2和3。不知道这代表牙周炎的哪个阶段。
另外牙周炎能治疗吗？牙医说不能治疗，只能维持，那岂不是一辈子都有这个毛病了？

cleaning. The pathogenic bacteria is so deep in the periodontium ligament
that it is impossible for antibiotics to reach them and kill them. Also,
brushing teeth is not helpful to eliminate those bacteria but it is very important to improve your oral health
after your treatment.
The longer time you ignore the periodontitis the more serious it will be in
future. This includes bad breath and tooth loss, eventually all the teet | W***e

It is not right to do deep cleaning (scaling and root planing is the
professional term) 4 time a year. You need to do it once, and the rest will
be "periodontal maintainence therapy", very much like a regular cleaning.
Some insurance do pay for such cleaning 4 times a year (but only after the
initial deep cleaning (Code 4341).
The numbers you heard are most likely periodontal probing pocket depth. It
should be less than 3. But many may have few 4s, especially if you |
