is simply - staying with kids & family.

It will be helpful to have 2 weeks off ahead of that for some study + relax,
as there would be no time to study if you are in harsh rotations.
2. Evenly split your whole year for efficient refreshment.
3. Think ahead what you gonna do for vacation, then plan seasonally, e.g.
considering about seasonal fluctuation in ticket pricing if you want to go
back China or book a cruise.
4. Try to avoid Thanksgiving week as thouse 2 |

mean attendings/senior residents prefer the interns to stay because they'd
like to evaculate? Or we interns can take a peace during Thanksgiving b/c
much less of patient load? My program doesn't allow the interns to take off
before Mid October. Have to do in service exam w/o any week-off.

发帖数: 611 | 9 拿vacation的时间来准备in service.........这个有点浪费，我们没有人这么做的，
大部分intern不会有时间来准备in service，这个考试也不重要（不要太差就行了），
就当对自己真实水平的一个测试，不用担心。 |

我没说清楚，Thanksgiving 那两天假，放你两周假期里就白费了，不会给你补休；要
是Thanksgiving 赶上做 elective, 就能休那两天。即使在病房、ICU的话，那两天也
会很轻松。
圣诞、新年那两天假也是类似的道理，

发帖数: 33 | 11 一般医院在11-2月是最忙的。赶上12月或1月做ward, ICU的话基本上每天cap。但是一
般ward,ICU轮转都是4-5周的。如果安排你12月休两周的话这个月就基本不会在ward,
ICU之类强度大的轮转了。当然nightflow之类的还是有可能的。所以最合理的就是要求
11-2月间非法定节假日的两周，比如11月初，12月初或1月底之类。
另外intern blue一般好发期是2-3月，所以如果你觉得自己可能在这段时间burn out的
话最好给自己留一个假。
