一个让我加一段感人的关于我当初来美如何克服重重困难的事例什么的,因为他觉得我
的这段经历还是很unique的。他觉得一个刚刚20出头的小姑娘只身一人来美，肯定吃了
不少苦，才能有现在的“成功”（我都不知道自己成功在哪儿：））。还反复循循善诱
，让我仔细想想当初都有哪些难处，我想了半天，也只能想出语言障碍这点。 其实我
心里想，这么多人不都这样过来了嘛，有啥特别呀？
另一个觉得我写得太Sentimental （其实我真没觉得呀），给我把她觉得sentimental
的部分都删了，弄得我现在正头疼怎么把她删掉的这100字加上. 当然这个老师就是一
个非常tough的人，以前她帮我改过用于别处的PS，效果还是不错的。可惜现在我有点
来不及了：）
到底应该听那个的呢？ 头疼ing。 |

(a very convincing story will be good though). Basically you need to answer
these two questions:
1) Why do you choose this specialty?
2) What's your qualification for this specialty?
In addition, provide explanations for red-flags in your application, if any. |

I understand the principles. However, my two advisors have different
opinions about what is a convincing story. For example, when I wrote about
patient interactions, I mentioned that one of my pediatric patients gave me
a drawing. When I wrote about my ability of multi-tasking, I mentioned that
I started medical school with a baby. But my second advisor deleted all
these,and thought they are too sentimental. So now I don't know what to
write without being dry.

You are right, for AMGs , these are the big questions.
What are red flags for IMG? Can you give an example?

several other faculty, because I knew they have higher standards! But I did
not know they would have opposite opinions.

- Long graduation year
- Low step scores or failed exams

Sigh, I guess I can never achieve the status of my mentor, since I can never
be as tough as she is. Actually there are a million reasons, but this is
definitely one of them.
