letter上传之后再邀请美国学生，但是对于国际学生基本上很早决定的。
如果是在来不及，可能要每个学校挨个骚扰。

US PhD from good program, graduated from medical school for 9 years,
5 strong LORs, two MDs from observer, one MD from president of ADA, one PhD
from my graduate advisor, one from my thesis committee.
Publication: one 1st author with IF 10, 5 co-author paper, 1 book. Step1, CS
passed.
The biggest problem with my application is that I don't have CK score yet,
so my application is incomplete. The earliest time I can get ck score is the
end of Oct.
So far, no IVs |

发了面试。面试挺严格的，如果面试表现相当出色的话会给PREMATCH。仔细做作功

these are questions which MUST be answered very well and impress PD/interviewers during your

Think about these questions and make your impressive answers and practice

Is it appropriate to say that english is not my native language and I
consider it as my weakness. I can also add that it has been greatly improved
over the past years and it never was a problem while interacting with

UAB这两年也都有CMG进去，大概比较欢迎有科研背景的CMG，不过他们自己的PHD一
大堆，所以UAB竞争会比较激烈。
另外病理面试都是一天，每个FACULTY谈半个多小时，的确需要充分准备。不像内科
面试，给你十分钟时间就很不错了，有点像final jeopardy,前面得分再多也没用，
就得靠最后五分钟突出表现，直接sudden death那种。 |

for Pathology, maybe for every specialty. I know several CMGs with very nice
qualities (99/99, PhD, nice publication record, nice reference, only
shortage is > 10 yr graduation), but all of them got very few invitations by
far, 3 is the most, some got none. What I heard is that more and more AMGs
, especailly MD/PHDs are interested in Pathology. Of course, more and more
CMGs with similar background are also applying this year.
Just from my stand of view, may be not right. Can any of those respectful
and informative seniors like Laodao or Hemocell give some comments on it?
Of course, if you are strong enough, you still can get a bunch of interviews
and even prematch offers as someone I know.

during interviews got similar or more than me. Despite that,I still feel it
is not easy this year. I guess more AMG are interested in pathology
partially due to a "good life style". Anyway, it is useless to panic. The
only thing can be done is to prepare well for the interviews. |

US medical students are more willing to consider pathology than before. The
medical school I am in has 0-1 path applicants 5 years ago, this year they
have 4. Other institutions have a similiar trend.
However, please don't be discouraged by the situation, most of you have
impeccable creds and will be able to match, although may not be a highly
competitive program. Remember this, many great pathologists are trained in
smaller programs, ultimately gold will shine. Which is also my personal
obsevation.

These number includes applicants apply for multiple specialties. so for path
only, probably the drop is even bigger |

I did not mean to spread a rumor, but from my institution and also from the
talk with my collegues, the impression is that more AMGs are willing to
consider pathology. It is possible my sampling is biased, as suggested by
the data here. I will be interested to see if there is any data on the
actual number of AMGs matched.

1. Applications:
a. photos: how many used proessional finished photo?
b. Visa: if your spouse have EAD, you have H1, how did you fill?
c. did you leave any gap in CV. if yes, have to explain
d. many program have a 10 yr cutoff. if you got a MD after 2000,
why you put BM year in, and you will be automatically
eliminated by machine

b. don't send so so references

Anyone graduated from Shanghai Medical University got CA letter recently? My
CA letter was rejected but UCI needs the CA letter before they can give me
the IV date.
