Even though you already got LORs you need for application, you still can
continue your OB until the interview season. It's said the longer, the

i guess the length of OB really depends on the time availability and your
purpose. however, i agree with the majority that the longer the better.
generally speaking, it will take some time to get familiar with the system,
the team and their activities. the longer you stay, the better they will
know about you, that's for sure. unless you are extremely good and are able
to impress people on your debut, you probably need some time to reach the
point where people can think positive about you. having said that, i think
another strategy is do OB in different places -- take the experience you
learned in the first place and carry the good properties to the second stop
so that you have a better starting point there.

should be able to figure it out when you are actually doing it.
although we wish everything is planned out in the every beginning and we
could just be paid off as expected in the end, things change all the time.
you may not be able to achieve your goal, but you may also get extra rewards
eventually. you have to work on it and find out how things will end up.
