I have decided to take one term hands-on clinical rotation in a medical
university hospital. The paper work has be started early this week. I am
going to have a meeting with the person who charges the student clinical
rotation next week to talk about my rotation schedule.
I am writing to ask you to help me to make a best rotation plan before next
week meeting.
This is my primary thought on the rotation schedule, list as the time order.
1) Internal medicine (3mos--14 weeks)
a. ICU----4 weeks
b. Cardio ward----2 weeks
c. Pulmonary ward-------2 weeks
d. GI ward-----2 weeks
e. ER-----2 weeks
2) Neurology-----1.5 mo(6 weeks)
3) Ped ward---- 1 mo-4 weeks
a. Ped ICU----2 weeks
b. Ped Ward --2 weeks
4) Psy----2 weeks
In order to get the best help from you, let me give you a brief of my
background.
I graduated in 1988. 1988-1994: Internal medicine physician, worked in CCU
which mainly took care of the patient with heart and pulmonary disease.
After 1994, got M.S. and Ph.D. training in Cardiology. Year 2000, came into
US. Last more than 8 years, do research on neuro-electrophysiology.
USMLE Status---229/229/ Step 3 pending.
My interested fields--- Internal Medicine include combining Adult and ped.
--- Neurology include combined with IM
---- Back up: Psy combined with IM
PS: This OB is called "non-degree seeking student matriculants". I pay the
same amount tuition as those 4th year students do. Therefore, I must do my
best to learn more from what I pay for. I sincerely appreciate your help. | S******9

玫瑰为何不focus到内科申请上？集中经历做内科呢？以前做过心脏，应该把在CCU待的
时间延长，由于已经有的背景知识，好好利用的话容易impress医生，获得好的推荐信。
在这，每个地方待的时间对，相对获得的知识量不够升入，和医生交流更不深入，如何
得到好的推荐信。不如只做几个科室，把connection搞好一点。 | l********z

By the way, I've made a mistake to only ask attending, fellow and residency
to help me with the clinical rotation plan question. The reason to make the
mistake is that I thought they are experts and have a lot of their own
experience. They will provide the best guide or suggestion.
Unfortunately, they don't come here very often.
Therefore, I ask all of xdjm here to let me know how you think if you are in
my shoes.
