cyanotic. Examination shows deviation of the trachea to the right and
subcutaneous crepitus. Which of the follwing findings is the most likely in
this patient?
a. Dullness of percussion on the right
b. hyperresonance of persussion of the left
c. Increased breath sounds on the left
d. Increased breath sounds on the right
e. Increased vocal fremitus on the left
f. Whispered pectoriloquy on the right
I thought this patient has a spontaneous pneuthorax, so, it is the right
side is affected (toward the lesion vs away from the lesion in tension
pneumothorax). None of the answers seem right to me. However, most the keys
online said it is b. Can anyone explain it?
Thanks a lot! | s********n 发帖数: 2071 | 2 B hyperresonance of persussion of the left | s********n 发帖数: 2071 | 3 Typical signs of pneumothorax (left lung), | q******g 发帖数: 69 | 4 But, it seems like a spontaneous pneumothorax which would deviate toward the
affected lung

blood pressure (hypotension) and confusion. The affected side of the chest
may be hyperexpanded and show decreased movement, with increased movement on
the other side. Mediastinum is shifted away from the affected lung due to
