ECFMG提供了两种186form for certificate,
一种是学要在所毕业学校签字盖章，然后以学校的名义寄到ECFMG，
我选择的是另一种方式，即（certificate by notary public）,我的理解是在公证人
面前签字，公证人证实你的身份并签字，然后可直接将186及其他表格（187，344和345
，学位证，照片等）寄到ECFMG，而不用再经学校寄出。经ECFMG初步验证，我就具备了
考试资格，可以选择考试日期。
此外，ECFMG也会根据这些材料，独立寄出327到我的毕业学校进行学位验证。
请各位大虾有了解的给个回复

发帖数: 192 | 4 I just did the same way recently, they send me email today to let me know
they got my Form 186 and notify me that they typically processes on-line
USMLE applications within 3 weeks of receipt of both the on-line part and
the Certification of Identification Form (Form 186). I am waiting now, but
it looks like that's the right way to do it.

change.
Two ways for 186 signature.
1, School official only.
2, School official and notification.
So whichever way, the school official's signature is a must.
Correct me if I'm wrong. |

发帖数: 111 | 6 I registered in fall of 2010. I had to mail the notarized 186 form to my
medical school for signature myself. The school filled the form then mailed
it to ECFMG (of course you have to have sb there to pay for the fees and
stamps). I do not know if the other way will work or not (you mail 186 to
ECFMG the nECFMG mail to your school). If it does, you still have to have
sb in your school to make sure they get the form and fill it and send back
to ECFMG. Good luck!!!!

notary public

发帖数: 156 | 10 School official is involved twice in registration process. Once for form 186
, later on for 327. This two-step verification is mandatory unless our med
school participated in a program by ECFMG. Apparently most schools did not.

BTW, I chose public notary because my 186 said: "You are a graduate of a
medical school that participates in the ECFMG Medical School Web Portal (
EMSWP)", which I was surprised, so I called ECFMG and confirmed. There was
no place on my 186 for school official to sign.

confused by other person's opinion and ECFMG official announcement about
this issue.
