k********n 发帖数: 756 | 1 The interview season is coming. Have been working in our chief rotation for
several months now and had chances in the past interviewing the interviewees
and helping the decision making. Hopefully that my inputs are helpful.
Plus:
1. crack me up with clean jokes
2. show me that you are interested in living in the area
3. enjoy outdoor activities
4. interested in the call schedule but no complains
5. know what you want to do after residency training
6. talk a little about US health care system and policy
7. a lot of energy into the specialty
8. know some trials and advances in the medical field, such as tumor therapy
, interventional treatment...
9. confident, non argumentative, agreeable but opinionated
10. want to do research in your career as academician although understand
the difficulties (But don't pretend, nobody is stupid)
Minus:
1. Arm crossed
2. no questions or only lame, prepared questions
3. talk about bad things in other programs (all programs have the same
problem)
4. don't know what to do after training
5. talk about bad things in medical school
6. only talk to one or two residents and indifferent to others
7. Flatter everything and everybody
8. Being pretentious
9. Obsessed with details such as call schedule, teaching
10. Too much in the hair style, dress, smile... |

interviewee了。
麦地缺少这种精华帖啊。非常非常感谢!

m******r 发帖数: 1904 | 6 Question:
Plus 6: is there possible we may argue with the interviewer in some points?
Or just listen and nod |
k********n 发帖数: 756 | 7 Nobody enjoys arguing and only few people enjoy preaching the audience.
Most of us enjoy dilightful small discussion. Tell people your different
experience and ask what they think.
Everyone is smart. If you just listen and nod, they know
1. You are not interested
2. You are lying
3. You have issues
?
