externship program星期一就要迎接第一批学员，我到现在还有点不可置信。
1个多月前，Dr.Lee要在我所在的地方开设hospice， 他找到我，希望我能帮他cover他
的hospice， 我参观了他一个正在运营的hospice， 一个externship的念头油然而生，
我们一下子一拍即合。 韩国人的爽快和效率让人敬佩，随着进一步交往，我认识到，
Dr.Lee是孙中山的崇拜者， 他的理想是帮助我们CMG的一个重要原因。
刚刚收到他助手的email，星期天晚上Dr.Lee要在餐馆设宴为第一批学员洗尘。 希望大
家能吃好谈好，放松对未来老师的戒备， 呵呵。 长久以来，纽约的ACAP和其他一些
华人医生组织为CMG进入residency做出了重要贡献， 我真心希望Dr.Lee的这个program
能够成为我们CMG做externship的另一个选择，我也衷心希望包括ACAP在内的program能
够继续成长壮大。

I am writing this letter to you to share my dream with you.
Some time ago I came across a manuscript of Dr. Sun's speech in Japan. As
we all know that he is the first president of China. His speech was on Pan
Asian unification. It was truly an inspiriting speech.
Initially I thought that the speech was in front of thousand of people in
Japan, however it was only in front of 7-8 people in a small restaurant in
Japan. At the end of this letter I will attach the manuscript for you to
read.
I came to United States when I was 13 years old with my mother just like Dr.
Sun. I have seen the great difference in Western cultures and our Asian
culture. I also have to endure hardships like any other Asians including
racial prejudice in school.
Since my father was a physician getting his training in United States and
Canada I had to move around the country many times and eventually went back
to Korea with my family. After graduating from medical school I went through
residency and fellowship training at the XXXX University.
During my medical training I have seen very inspiriting sight. It was Jewish
people helping one another. As you know that they also endured hardships
just like us. However they did something about it.
They created their own nursing homes "Jewish Home for the Elderlies" which
became a national chain and basis for geriatric medicine in United States.
They also have built medical schools and medical centers throughout the
country including United states and Canada.
100 years ago Dr. Sun had a dream. I truly think that the dream can apply
today!
I have spoken with many Chinese and Korean doctors and businessman about
working together to help our Asian community.
We have informally created " Pan Asian Foundation" in honor of Dr. Sun.
Since I am a physician and 20 years of experience of managing medical
centers and hospice program, I wanted to start with helping physicians and
nurses from China and Korea.
I want more Asian physician and nurses to come to United States to share my
dream and spread the fire.
I have starte medical assistant program and dental assistant program about a
year ago in our medical center. And now we want to start externship program
to help Asian physicians to gain residency spots in US.
Eventually we like to have our own medical canters, nursing homes and
hospice facilities, possibly medical school just like Jewish people did many
years ago.
A big fire starts with a tiny spark. We want to be that spark.
I firmly believe that If all Asian unite together we can make it happen。
Let us not think for our selves only but think and join together for our
future generation

，充实的学习的机会和直接受教于Dr.Lee的感想陆续发表在externship-observeship
俱乐部里。我读了以后羡慕的要命啊～～
