Graduate year:2010
Step1&2 are around 220
Step 2 CS 2nd attempt pass(硬伤，2013 season没上的主因吧）
USCE: 1 mo in community hospital, several rotations in university hospital
(All clinical OB experiences in department of IM, no extern)
Research： None
LOR: one of them is pretty strong, the others are just so so I suppose. (
All written by US MD)
No. of IV last year: 3 IM （2 community+ 1 university）
今年申请方向应该还是以IM为主，虽然对Path也有兴趣，可能Path需要的研究背景更强
，难度可能更大些。目前我正在复习Step3 希望在申请前考完并出成绩。不知道有什么
办法可以用来弥补这本不应该fail的CS，哪怕有一丝的帮助也好。恳请各位前辈帮帮小
弟，对前途感觉迷茫。是在继续做OB取得更好的LOR好，还是如何？去年一起match的人
之中就我一个没match上，可谓是抑郁了许久，希望获得一点好的建议和经验，以期待
今年再战!

发帖数: 240 | 2 毕业时间短, 背景很好, 去年拿到三个面试已说明很有竞争力, 觉得"2013 season没上
的主因"可能不是因为CS 2nd attempt. 还是多做OB, 广交朋友, 多熟悉美国这边的临
床系统, 坚定信心, Match上是迟早的事.

should match without a problem. |

我当时的CS还没改版，是2011年的时候。对于现在可能也不是特别有借鉴意义，当时忽
视了病历，所以就不幸惨败于病历上。别的professional manner，speaking之类的都
没有问题

事，第一年不能match就是有硬伤，如果没有改变结果还可能是一样。 |

是的，这就是我自己想的。第一年没match就是因为有硬伤，如果没有什么别的改变和
进步，结果不会有太多的差别。只是诸位前辈有不少有YOG比较长的尴尬，可能觉得我
的gap相对比较小的原因吧。所以今年要认真准备和筹划，去年的确也太松散了。

发帖数: 158 | 17 Many thing can cause you not match, not only failed CS. LOR - is it really
strong? From my experience, most people don't know what is a strong LOR.
Only 3 IV? - did you applied the right program? Interview - most likely you
didn't impress the interviewer enough.

Yes u r right. But the failure in CS made me filtered by most of the
programs. It is critical for the number of interview invitations I think.
One of the LOR is strong and I'm sure of that, cuz the writer told me it was
the second best letter he has ever written. And indeed felt that I didn't
impress the interviewer, it's a big issue as well.
