Based in beautiful San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA, we are a medical
devices company that specializes in developing Ultrasound and Medical
Imaging solutions. Due to growth, we are looking to hire for a Sr. Software
Algorithm Engineer that possesses strong experience with C++, .NET, Medical
Devices and Algorithm development. You must be an Algorithm expert.
Experience with Ultrasound technology would be a huge plus. If this sounds

General Responsibilities:
-Responsible for providing input to and getting conceptual direction from
executive technical team for implementation of scientific principles related
to control algorithms within the company’s product
-Implementing, integrating, and optimizing algorithms at a system level
-Co-author, with executive technical team, test protocols to verify
functionality of algorithms. Perform confidence testing and generate reports
detailing results.
-Interface with clinicians, corporate partners, Board of Directors and other
senior level constituents on product development and device research
programs or technologies when called upon to do so
-Senior Software technical resource and mentor to engineering group and rest
of company with respect to current and future medical devices
-Outline and direct software verification, validation and confidence studies
and tests and author the results
-Provide senior level technical input during the research and design of
focused ultrasound technology devices
Requirements:
1.) A senior software professional capable of planning and executing complex
software and who can motivate and manage the technical efforts of several
other software professionals. Individual who fills this role must be
flexible, a team player who understands a balance between consensus and
productivity, and is committed to meeting a demanding schedule.
2.) 10+ years of professional software development experience; Must have
expertise with C++, Windows development environments, and algorithm
development. The candidate will be focusing on algorithms and all
architecture that is needed in the algorithmic processing chain. Must be
strong in algorithm design, development, and implementation into robust,
high-performance, code.
3.) 3+ years of experience with medical device development that has a
software component to it
4.) Strong software documentation and validation skills
Nice to Have Skills:
1.) Ultrasound industry experience; Medical Imaging, DICOM, Imaging, Image
Processing.
2.) Preference for real-time signal processing and embedded systems
3.) In-depth knowledge of international standards and requirements for
medical devices desirable
4.) C#, .NET would be helpful
