发帖数: 14 | 1 大家好，由于没有在美国看过病，所以不太清楚这里的医疗体系。
是这样的。我怀疑自己有Hernia，在学校的health center看医生，医生确诊是Hernia
，但说要送我去进一步看Specialist （让我看general surgery），看看有没有必要做
手术。
学校的health center就给了我一个医生的列表，有general surgery医生，还有些别的
surgery医生。但是general surgery医生都是一个电话号码，需要打去预约。
我想知道是不是我去看的医生就是手术的医生？怎么样知道哪个医生比较好，哪个医院
比较好呢？是让health center的医生推荐，还是可以到时候咨询那个Specialist？因
为我以为如果那个Specialist他自己就可以动手术的话就不好再让咨询他哪个医院及医
生好的问题了吧？
因为从没在美国看过病，特别是这种涉及到可能动手术的，比较惶恐，谢谢！ | f******I

physician
competency of each physician varies, i think regardless of specialties once
you reached certain stage, you are competent and smart enough to know what
you are doing, it's the part where you care about your pateints or not that
makes you a good or bad doctor,
if you go to a hospital affiliated with training programs, chance are you
are going to be seen by surgery resident first, they might not be much
experienced but most have the desire to learn and do good and be more
