co pay是$25，我记得当时医院的人帮我预约这个检查的时候，我还问他是不是只需要
付co pay的25就行了，那个检查是不是免费的，他点点头。
但是这学期却收到了帐单，要让我pay两百多。不是完全付不起，但这学期老板也没钱
了，大概只有一半的奖学金了，确实很紧张。不知道是不是可以argue掉，想请问大家
我该怎么和他们说。觉得很冤枉，如果当时知道是收那么多钱的话，我就回国做了，圣
诞刚从国内回来。

once I had some expensive bill from a dentist,
and he gave me a deep discount since he did not tell me it would incur a
dditional costs (and insurance may not pay for it...)

insurance company to make sure that they did not make any mistakes.
I suspect the bill is from the hospital, because usually a hospital bill for
MRI will be 1000-2000 dollars. It is probably the copay for your insurance
company. |

我想这个帐单是已经被保险公司cover过的了
帐单上写的是
Laboratory 67.00
Clinic 578.00
Treatment RM 1052.00
然后保险公司扣掉了1000多
我不知道这样的情况，我该找谁谈，medical center,还是找我的医生，或者保险公司
呢？
我知道可能都问一问最好，但是想听听大家的建议，找哪里最有用，谢谢！

of them know anything about the money issue :( You can contact the billing
department of the hospital, but I doubt that will bring you very far. |

我把详细的情况在叙述一下。
去年一共去了三次医院
第一次：10.30号，去看医生，交了25刀的co pay，医生就帮我摸了摸脖子上的淋巴，
大概还用显微镜放大镜什么的看了看，然后说要做MRI检查，当天让我去另一个lab抽点
血，MRI检查要另约。
当时我问在front desk工作的男的，问我的co pay是多少，他看了我的卡说25，然后我
又问那这个检查是不是不用pay，他点点头。预约了11.8号的MRI，和11.13号的医生复
诊。
第二次：11.8号，MRI检查在另一个楼。
第三次：11.13号，又预约了医生，大概跟我说了一下检查的结果。然后又交了25的co
pay。
接下来，这个学期我一共收到了三个帐单，第一个
10.30 Laboratory 67
Clinic 578
Treatment RM 1052
Total Payments -950.32
Ajustments -509.10
最后我的blance是 237.58
我不知道这三项到底是什么意思，而且我交的25块co

The total charge from the clinic is 67+578+1052 = 1697. My guess is 1052 is
the hospital charge of MRI, and 578 is the radiologist charge of MRI. An
imaging study is often composed of facility fee and reading fee. The
insurance company managed to negotiate a better price, which is the
adjustment |

的钱也出了呀，不过在学校里，我改天拿了把后两次的详单也写下来吧
