感觉美国的OB就是借医院的地盘接生，OB并不归医院管。不知道医院有没有自己的OB，
如果在生产过程中出现complication，自己的OB处理不了的时候，是由谁接手呢？医院
的急救功能怎么体现呢？ | g*****j

You are right in a sense. But that applies to all surgeons and
physicians. They often sign contract to cover services, so that an entire
hospital functions as a whole. In case of OB emergency, you could be
transferred to SICU. Pediatricians routinely come for emergencies. There
are however very few complications that obstetricians cannot handle and
will need general surgeons. |
