doctor on this. However, based on what I read, it usually is not a problem
as long as the pregnancy continues.

| g*****j 发帖数: 1211 | 4 Well, there is not a medical question, but a personal one. You and your
husband need to decide whether that risk is acceptable or not.
However, to put things in perspective, there is about a 3% risk of major
birth defect overall for all pregnancy. This 3% includes high risk ones, eg
advanced maternal age, diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, drug use,
infection, etc.
You should be aware that balanced translocation may occur incidentally or
may be genetic. In the latter case, either you or your spouse carries that
silent genetic change and will affect your future pregnancy as well. This
is something you need to discuss with your OB doctor. | c********e 发帖数: 496 | 5 it depends, which chromosome, which segments on that chromosome,
there should be studies about it, and you may want to check it online.
i think 5-10% is big, while it totally up to you, how old you are, how many
children you have, family situation, etc. |
