发帖数: 76 | 1 6岁多孩子有点这个症，医生认为算比较轻微那种的，我在考虑是找西医还是中医看。
看NIH网站的一些背景知识，再想到孩子小时候一个eczema西医都束手无策，觉得这类
与机能，免疫力等相关的症状西医可能不对路子。而中医，因为理解不了那些气啊风啊
的说法，实在不太有底。不知道板上是否有建议呢？ | g*****j

terms of its cause and treatment are less than satisfactory.
There is a couple points:
1) Tourette syndrome is more a social problem than a health issue,
especially in mild ones. The treatment is not necessary only when social
difficulty becomes concerning. Many people naturally get better after
adulthood. There are medicine that can alleviate symptoms, but not without
side effects. You need to discuss with your doctor about the benefit of
improvement in social functioning and possible side effects.
2) The fact that modern medicine has no magic treatment, doesn't mean
alternative treatment has better way. After all, modern medicine has
knowledgeable and well funded physicians studying Tourette condition,
through experiment and clinical trials. I don't know what better way you
can suggest to understand this disease.
3)A good treatment is one that works. It is OK to try all treatment
modality as long as the treatment is safe, and does not cause more social
difficulty. |
