Routine views of the lumbosacral spine were obtained. There is minimal
curvature of the lumbar spine to the left side. The study shows an irregular
osseous density at the anterior superior region of L4 vertebral body. There
appears to be disruption of the superior vertebral endplate and also
irregularity of the anterior cortex of the vertebral body. The findings are
most consistent with old corner bertebral body fracture. There is focal
degenerative spurring at L3-4 level projecting to the right side. The study
shows minimal disc space narrowing at L3-4 and L4-5.
Impression:
1. Findings at L4 vertebral body suggesting old corner fracture.
2. Focal degenerative spurring at L3-4 level with disc space narrowing in
lower lumbar spine.
3. No acute fracture seen.
