Here's something that I bet the vast majority of you have
never heard before: an authentic Cahuilla Bird Song!
The Cahuilla Indians are the native population of the Coachella
Valley, San Gorgonio Pass, and San Jacinto Mountains region
in what is now the central and eastern portions of Riverside
County, California. Like the other Native American groups,
the Cahuilla people have a rich repertoire of age-old traditional
songs and chants. Unfortunately for us, most of them are
considered spiritual in nature, not to be performed in public or
in the presence of "outsiders." The Bird Songs, however, are
social songs and are not subject to that restriction. I learnt this
one from the late Robert Levi, one of the best-known Cahuilla
Bird Singers in recent times, shortly before he passed away in
2007.

Cahuilla Bird Songs曲调不少，不过歌词都是大致相同，俺当初没好意
思多问。
