Come on TOI, We messed it up ourselves by not reading the fine print about
the quarantine tests we needed to conduct. Further more with the exception
of three horses, the rest tested positive for Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis
. It was only in the 2nd test it was found to be negative. This is just like
us Indians. Chaltha Hai attitude till the last minute (eg: the way we
organised the CWG) and then blame someone else for not accepting our
cavalier attitude. Particularly in large sporting events, quarantine laws
are tight and yet instead of taking this matter seriously, we waited till
the last minute. So stop blaming other countries for our own flaws. And stop
behaving like a trash paper by writing stupid headlines and articles such
as these. At one time in the past you were a respected news paper, but these
days - other than the fact that you have more breaking news than other
papers, TOI has nothing much to its credit except some trash writer such as
the one who wrote this article. Finally regarding the water-polo team, while
the Chinese were willing to sponsor the team, we could have chosen not to
send the team. And yet your terrible headline reads - Chinese paid us so
that they can win the gold. Are you really out of your mind - (a) we chose
to send an unqualified team and (b) did you see the total number of medals
that China won? Do you really think they needed us to send an unqualified
team so that they can win the Gold? You must joking! |
