I have several questions.
fuel rods are above the core.
control rods are under the core.
all fule rods, control rods, and core are
within a sealed containment.
how to push the fuel rods down to produce energy?
how to push the cotnrol rods up to stop the reaction? | N***r
发帖数: 2539 | 2 for PWR, the control rods drops from the top, you have to send an axe man to
cut the rope to let the control rods falling down, that's why the control
rods system is so-called SCRAM (safety control rods axe man).
for BWR, the control rods inserts from the bottom, which is more difficult
to implement. you have to send couple of ppl to push and hold the rods.

have to be controled by something outside of containment?
so how to seal the movement junction?

fuel rods are fixed.
control rods are out of the core in normal operation condtion. when it's
necessary, control rods will be inserted into the core. for PWR, the control
rods are hang out of the core by electric power and it will fall by gravity
as power cut off.
bwr, i remember it's driven by hydaulic system.
please correct me if i am wrong.
