"China is facing a tremendous challenge: how to get a larger share of the
value-added pie, as it otherwise can't possibly take the next step in
economic development, which Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore and Hong
Kong have already taken," De Gucht wrote in a book published this month
called "Freedom: Liberalism In A Time of Cholera".

The U.S. ambitions of Huawei and ZTE were stopped in their tracks earlier
this month as a congressional report urged American companies to stop doing
business with the firms, raising fears of retaliation from China.
The U.S. House of Representatives' Intelligence Committee warned industry
that Beijing could use equipment made by the two companies to spy on certain
communications and threaten vital systems through computerized links.

"They are much more ready than in the past to put these topics, which are
rather sensitive for them, on the negotiating table," he said. "That doesn't
mean that China is suddenly an easy partner, but they realize they have to

产生的西方企业的竞争力就完了，迟早有一天西方的企业会象日本的电器公司，或美国

而且贸易保护和政治壁垒实际上也救不了美国企业。
因为美国企业生产的东西过于昂贵，会导致美国本国的物价快速上升，人民生活水平下
降，消费能力快速萎缩，美国企业的市场急遽缩小，最后还是活不下去。
