As a Chinese National Security official said today: "If Winnie the Pooh has
done nothing wrong, he has nothing to fear from internet surveillance. We
are only interested in terrorist teddy bears who play suspicious war
simulation games involving the throwing of sticks in the woods."
In a further development, Scotland Yard said today: "In a joint operation
between Chinese National Security and the Met Anti-Terrorist Squad, several
jars of honey were confiscated early this morning from a rural West Sussex
address by plain-clothes officers, and an eighty-eight year old brown male
of ursine origin was arrested by armed police charged with possession of a
banned substance under the Diabetes (Terrorism) Act 2014. The accused
appeared briefly in court humming his name and gave his address as Hundred-
Acre Wood. In a short statement he regretted that he was not a cloud
floating in the blue, as it would have made him very proud to be a little
cloud."
A second suspect, Christopher Robin, said to be resident in a tree at Pooh
Corner, is being sought by police. Police have described him as a white
caucasian male of underage appearance, wearing uneven socks. He can be
identified by his walk: he goes Hoppity, Hoppity, Hoppity, Hoppity, Hop.
Police have warned the public from approaching him, as "whenever you tell
him politely to stop, he says he can't possibly stop."
