WASHINGTON — American officials have long considered Huawei, the Chinese
telecommunications giant, a security threat, blocking it from business deals
in the United States for fear that the company would create “back doors”
in its equipment that could allow the Chinese military or Beijing-backed
hackers to steal corporate and government secrets.
But even as the United States made a public case about the dangers of buying
from Huawei, classified documents show that the National Security Agency
was creating its own back doors — directly into Huawei’s networks.
Slides Describe Mission Involving Huawei
Operation “Shotgiant” was the National Security Agency’s codename for its
efforts to break into Huawei networks. Below are two slides from a
Powerpoint presentation, dated 2010, that lay out the operation’s goals.

When NSA requested source code from Huawei couple of years ago, Huawei
complied with NSA's request in order to enter U.S market. NSA apparently use
Huawei's source code and found many security holes. Chinese are just in
kinder-garden in terms of internet security.
Now we know, we Chinese are too naive compared with shameless hypocrites
here.
