Besides, the government intercepted her refund on the ground of Social
Security "overpayment" to her deceased mother.
I don't know the law, but if such survivor benefit is based on the need of
raising the kids rather than maintenance of the surviving spouse, it is
totally reasonable to ask the kids to pay back the overpayment. |
