Because hot food is only served in first class on United flights, Beegle
asked a flight attendant if the airline could make an exception for her
daughter.
“I asked if I can purchase something hot for my daughter, and [the first
class flight attendant] said no,” Beegle told ABC News. “He came back
again and I said, ‘I have a child with special needs, I need to get her
something.’ And he said, ‘I can’t do that.’ ”
Beegle says she then told the flight attendant: “How about we wait for her
to have a meltdown? She’ll be crying and trying to scratch in frustration.
I don’t want her to get to that point.”
Eventually, Beegle said, a flight attendant did bring hot food for her
daughter.
Minutes later, Juliette calmed down, Beegle said, and the family thought the
ordeal was over.
But then an announcement was made over the intercom: The plane would be
making an emergency landing in Salt Lake City due to a passenger “in the
back of the plane who has behavior issues,” Beegle recalled.
Emergency personnel boarded the plane in Utah, walked back to the row where
Juliette was sitting and asked the family to leave the plane. | s*******1
