doesn't have. Eventually the American empire will do a U.S.S.R. type
ecomonic implosion. The hundreds of bases will be shuttered, the ships will
come home to rust in dock yards. The Chinese must know this, that what can't
continue won't continue, as soon as America's credit card is taken away the
game ends. China has nothing to gain in a shooting war to say the least. A
shooting war isn't in the cards here at all, it's just a pissing match. All
the Chinese need do is have patience, something they're good at. American
military vessels sailing past aren't a threat, just an annoyance, the
Chinese can play the annoyance game as well and do it cheaper. The Americans
spend money like cost is no matter. What it really comes down to is the
economies of the opponents, who's economy folds first ? China must
understand that calling America's bluff doesn't mean starting a war, it
means ignoring them, they won't do anything but sail past like tourists,
watching as China continues building. Let the Americans do the escalating if
they're stupid enough to. It's the Americans who have over reached, they
are over extented everywhere on earth. Just like Rome America is rotton on
the inside while facing increasing pressure from the outside. All that is
needed is to wait.

it's hands on. And intermingle them with their state-of-the-art vessels.

No ship in the US Navy is going to risk damage to its bow 6000 miles from
home port in unfriendly waters by ramming a dilapidated, 300 foot long hot

out behind closed doors, perhaps to make the leaders on both sides appear
strong? We already know there have been behind the scenes negotiations with
Russia to keep our pilots from engaging each other, so why not this as well
. Why send a lone vessel? If you are really serious, and you want to try
and intimidate someone, then send an entire task force with the ability to
project overwhelming force. This all just seems a little too contrived.
Color me skeptical for now because if anything were to happen to the Lassen,
it would open up a huge risk of public criticism for a careless, poorly
conceived operation. I don't think even Obama would risk that outcome. |
