Cops: Man Had Sex with Teen He Met on Tinder
In West Palm Beach, Florida, police arrested Changsheng “Sean” Zhao for
allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl. He met her on Tinder, a dating
app.
Police say the two had sex twice. The story from Zhao’s lawyer, according
to The Palm Beach Post: This 14-year-old, who Zhao allegedly met at a bar,
said she was 21. She later admitted her real age, the lawyer claims.
“You could have put me in serious trouble because you are underage,” Zhao
allegedly said, according to a police report obtained by The Post. “The
legal age is 18, I believe.” He allegedly tried to make her delete their
text messages, too.
The lawyer’s story, at least as reported by The Post, won’t help Zhao in
court. In Florida, ignorance of the “victim’s misrepresentation” of her
age “cannot be raised as a defense.” He also can’t use her consent or any
purported “lack of chastity” to get him out of trouble.
According to jail records viewed by LawNewz.com, Zhao was arrested Thursday,
and released on Friday after posting a $50,000 bond. He faces one count of
lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim age 12 to 16.
On June 8, a Tinder spokesperson announced they’ll no longer be allowing

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. —A man is in jail after he allegedly had repeated
sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl that he met on Tinder, a dating
app, the West Palm Beach Police Department said.
Zhao was arrested in the 8000 block of Dominica Place in Wellington on June
4. He is being held in jail without bond.
The 14-year-old girl gave authorities a sworn audio recording of her
encounter with Zhao. She also gave investigators a video recording of her
testimony, officials said.
According to the probable cause affidavit written by detective Brittany
Tatum, the girl told authorities that she met Zhao, also known as Sean, on
Tinder. They exchanged telephone numbers and began to send each other text
messages.
According to the affidavit, Zhao picked up the girl June 4 at 8 p.m. in a
gold Nissan car at the same home she was house-sitting in the Island of Palm
Beach. Zhao took her to Mojitos in City Place for dinner. Afterwards, they
left City Place and Zhao drove them back to his home where they had
unprotected sex. The girl told police that Zhao ejaculated on her. The girl
left at 11 p.m. in an Uber.
The girl also told authorities about a second encounter that she had with
Zhao that ended with sex.
The girl said that Zhao sent an Uber to pick her up June 4 at midnight from
a residence she was house-sitting on the Island of Palm Beach. The girl met
Zhao at the Blue Martini in City Place.
They later returned to Zhao’s home in the 200 block of Courtney Lakes
Circle at 2 a.m. where they had protected sex, the affidavit said. The girl
left in an Uber at 4 a.m.
The girl placed a ten minute one party consent controlled telephone call on
June 16 to Zhao. Zhao asked the girl to confirm her age during the
conversation. “I am 14,” the girl said. “You could have put me in serious
trouble because you are underage,” Zhao said. “How is having sex with me
and being 14 will get you in trouble?” the girl asked Zhao. “The legal age
is 18, I believe,” Zhao said.

Sean Zhao or by other name Changsheng Zhao contacted me about their
financial advising services. He called me numerous times over a two weeks
period, I finally talked to him one day and told him I will evaluate. He
called me numerous times the past few days and he called again today when I
was driving in a huge snow storm. I told him that I will call him back and
he immediately holler curse words at me. Needless to say he is not getting
my business, but I really want to let others aware of their marketing
practices. I feel like the way they call potential customers to a point it's
almost like harassment, and they really make me feel like they only concern
about money and not providing service. Avoid this company at all cost. | n******g
