Scottish leader Nicola Sturgeon says her country cast an "unequivocal" vote
to remain in the European Union - a result that raises the spectre of a new
referendum on Scottish independence.
Sturgeon said "the vote here makes clear that the people of Scotland see
their future as part of the European Union."
All 32 voting areas in Scotland voted to stay in the EU, but they were
outnumbered by a strong English "leave" vote.
Scotland rejected independence from the UK in its own 2014 referendum, but
Friday's result gives new momentum to the cause. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/E/EU_BRITAIN_EU_THE_LATEST
