means he's one of the first people to board the airplane. Even though my
husband is the director of engineering at his company he does not like to
dress up when he travels. After my husband lined up in the A1 position some
old guy a few spots behind him turned to his friend and said, "Why is that
big wetback ahead of us? That won't happen when Trump is President." He then
went further and told my husband, "Trump's going to send you back to Mexico
."
My husband is a Texan. His family is Texan. They have been in Texas longer
than Texas has been in the United States. His family did not cross the
border to get here, the border crossed them.
I tell this story because this is the kind of people that Trump has given a
voice to. We've always had racist people in our country, but Trump has
normalized them and made their opinions acceptable. Only a landslide defeat
will send these people back to the pile of shit from whence they came. |
