in 2016 by OSHA and the Department of Labor.
In a release from the Department of Labor, workers began making complaints
of unsafe working conditions shortly after the plant opened in October 2015
leading to eight separate federal investigations and $226,937 in penalties
.
Those inspections found several violations including machine safety problem
s that 揺xpose workers to amputation and other serious injuries, as well as
a lack of personal protective equipment, electrical hazards, failing to tr
ain workers about hazardous chemicals in use and unmarked exits.br />
The
Department of Labor says Fuyao has contested all the following OSHA vio
lations issued this year.
According to Department of Labor records, Fuyao has been investigated eight
times this year and found to have 24 safety violations. The records do not

The United Auto Workers said in May that workers at Fuyao Glass America fil
