Fox Conner, who mentored Dwight Eisenhower, had three principles:
1. Never fight unless you have to.
2. Never fight alone.
3. Never fight for long.
Bannon and Trump are violating all three:
1. We don't have to fight our allies, innocent travelers, permanent
residents, vetted visa holders, vetted immigrants, or Muslim people.
2. We need allies to fight ISIS. The Muslim ban will deprive us of allies
and instead of fighting with us, turn our friends against us.
3. We don't want to prolong the war against ISIS by turning the Muslim world
against us. If American looks like a Muslim hating, racist state, the world
will turn against us. We do not want indefinite war. We want victory.
Hill-billy racism isn't going to win the war against ISIS. Violation of the
Constitution by this invalid order should be an Article of Impeachment. |
